To help solve the problem you are experiencing with installing the SOPAS Engineering Tool onto your SICK NAV350, try the following steps:

  1. Ensure Compatibility: Check if the version of SOPAS you are trying to install is compatible with your version of Windows and your SICK NAV350 device.

  2. Run as Administrator: Right-click on the installer file and select "Run as administrator" to ensure that you have the necessary permissions to install the software.

  3. Update Drivers: Visit the official SICK website or contact their support to find and install any necessary drivers for the NAV350. Ensure that your Windows system drivers are up-to-date.

  4. Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily: Sometimes antivirus software or firewalls can block installation processes. Temporarily disabling them might help, but remember to enable them again once you have completed the installation.

  5. Check USB Ports/Cables: Ensure that the USB ports and the cables you are using are functioning correctly. Try different ports or swap cables to rule out any hardware-related issues.

  6. Check for Software Updates: Make sure that both Windows and the SOPAS Engineering Tool are updated to their latest versions.

  7. Consult Documentation: Review any accompanying documentation with the SOPAS tool or SICK NAV350 for specific installation instructions.

If you continue to encounter issues, consider contacting SICK's customer support for more specific guidance.

Hello. In the operating manual listed only low-level or physical-level protocols (TCP/IP, UART etc). But nothing about data formats, commands etc. How to get API for embedding the code reader to the developed equipment?

Regarding your question about getting the Lector-61x API or protocols, you would typically need to consult the manufacturer or vendor of the SOPAS Engineering Tool or Lector-61x for detailed documentation or developer resources. Often, software development kits (SDKs) or application programming interfaces (APIs) are provided upon request to registered developers or customers. Check the vendor's official website or contact their customer support for detailed technical documentation or support.

We work on a Lidar sensor whose reference is Tim561-2050101
We can just export data in .log file. It's difficult to understand we recover and much more to know how we can use this data in that kind of file.
We would like to use and process the data.

Answer by Usha Kumari

Yes, it is possible to export the data from LiDAR Tim to an Excel file. You can use the .log file format to export the data, but you may need to understand how to process and use the data in that format.
